I have a pretty amazing job in that I have the privilege of teaching people how to heal themselves in such a way that they can experience peace, calm, and joy on a consistent basis. I don’t think there is anything better than to be connected to ourselves and others, and to experience life in who we truly are. I don’t know if there is a greater gift, and I experience a lot of joy helping you learn how to access that for yourself.
I'm also a grandma at heart (You won’t see me up past 11). I am an enneagram 8 w 7, so I get excited and passionate about almost anything. My ideal night out is in nature, enjoying the outdoors, eating something delicious (is food a love language?). I don’t do superficial well. I laugh at inappropriate times where you can hear my witch cackle laugh from a mile away. I love to laugh and just enjoy life. I travel the world every chance I get. I love adventure. I want to explore and just experience it all. Life is too short. I live life on fire.

I know the ability of one’s power to heal… because I was someone who used to be unwell. I used to deal with bouts of depression as a child, chronic anxiety and stress in my teen and early adult years. I had undiagnosable autoimmune and gut issues from an early age.
Now I am free from all of this. I found that healing ourselves on the emotional and spiritual level can create deep, lasting healing in ways that simply proper nutrition, exercise, and supplementation could not.
I always felt a desire within me to help others. So I became a nurse. I spent almost a decade between being a RN and a Nurse Practitioner. I loved being a nurse, and with that, I was always seeking more answers for my patients (and myself) that conventional medicine could not provide. So I went seeking.
It was in 2016 that I learned about Mind Body Medicine, and how our spiritual and emotional health influences our physical health (and vice versa). I had no idea how impactful our emotions and past and how we feel about ourselves and our lives can influence our quality of life, and subsequently our physical health.
In 2017, I made the decision to leave conventional medicine and get trained in more forms of mind body medicine. In 2018, I started my practice, Inner Fire Wellness, which has blossomed in Erika Shepard Healing and Coaching.
